Paintings Conservator
Following the code of ethics
set forth by The American Institute of Conservation
Dedicated to maintaining the aesthetic and
structural integrity of the paintings we use contemporary museum
practices and reversible materials. Our linings are done with the
vacuum hot table using BEVA 371 reversible adhesive on pure
Belgian linen. Non-yellowing Paraloid resins are used as varnish.
Torn and punctured areas are filled and sculpted with a
reversible vinyl fill. Our invisible inpainting is achieved with
high quality restoration colors. Although we specialize in oil
paintings and murals we offer references for appraisals, framing
and art dealers.
Old discolored varnish After
cleaning
Natural resins yellow with time and distort original
color. These varnishes can be removed with organic solvents.
This badly damaged wood panel can be
repaired.

The flaking paint is consolidated and the negative areas filled
with a removable white fill. The voids are then inpainted with
reversible restoration colors that will not discolor over time.
